Christmas Holiday Yard of the Month Contest

This year the Grounds & Landscape Committee is excited to announce the first Christmas Holiday Yard of the Month contest, where homes will be judged on their stunning Christmas light displays. The theme for this year’s contest is “Festive Nights,” so we’re looking for yards that capture the warmth and charm of the holiday season. Judges will be looking for creativity, originality, and how well the display reflects the festive spirit—think twinkling lights, nativity scenes, and cheerful decorations. Attention to detail, color coordination, and overall presentation will play a big part in selecting the winners. Less emphasis will be placed on grass and flower beds for the December event, and more on the holiday theme. Yards must, however, be neat and appropriate for the season, with no outstanding HOA violations. Make your yard a dazzling display that embodies the magic and joy of the holiday season!

Guidelines

1. Entry forms must be completed and returned no later than Monday, December 9th
2. Judging to be done by the Grounds & Landscape Committee.
3. Properties must be ready for judging by Tuesday, December 10th
4. Judging will take place the evenings of December 11th, 12th and 13th. (Wed., Thurs., Fri.)
5. The prize will be a large assortment of lawn and garden supplies, tools and/or plants and a beautiful Travis Ranch Yard of the Month trophy.
6. The prizes will be awarded at the Social Committee’s Holiday Event, December 14th from 10am – 12pm.
7. The contest is open to homeowners and tenants alike.
8. Judges or their family members are not eligible to enter the contest.
9. The Yard of the Month winner will have the honor of having a beautiful Yard of the Month sign placed in their yard for no less than 30 days and a beautiful trophy to keep. They will also have a photo taken of their award-winning yard, that will be promoted throughout our community, on our website and on our social media pages.
